Auroras May 10 2024

A nighttime photo with three trees in the foreground and a sheet of aurora filling much of the sky, which has roughly 15 stars visible. The aurora has small blue splotches to the bottom left of the sky, a red splotch at the top right, green splotches largely across the bottom and middle of the sky, and pink mixed in the middle and extending toward the top of the frame. The image only extends roughly 45ยบ or so into the sky, or roughly halfway to the zenith.
Blue, pink, green, and red aurora is visible in this image I took around 10:45 pm on May 10 2024, near Boston.

I'll add detail another time. For now: this is similar to the previous photo, except it extends higher into the sky, the foreground is slightly different, and the aurora's changed to have more vibrant reds and pinks, and fewer greens.
Green, blue, vibrant pink, and red aurora appears in this image I took just a few minutes later. If I'd known to try to take a video, I could've seen the aurora changing in real time! It really does dance during strong "substorms" like this one.

I'll add detail another time. For now: this photo has primarily red aurora, but is zoomed in and I aligned two bright stars, which may or may not be Castor and Pollux, on either side of the top of a foreground tree.
Castor and Pollux, perhaps :) I'll have to look into this again when I have a bit more time.
